Alberto Martínez, a resident of Wilkes-Barre, peacefully departed this life on the morning of May 2, 2024, at GWV Hospital. He was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, to the late Alberto Martinez Sr. and Juana Falcon.

Alberto had a zest for life that was reflected in his love for travel, music, and cherished moments spent with his family and beloved pets.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Elizabeth Hitta; his adoring daughter, Nathalia Rivera; his loving daughter, Daniela Lynn, and her husband, William; his son, Andres Martinez; and a host of grandchildren: Luca, Angela, Kevin, Anthony, Melissa, Zackary, and Nathanael.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated medical staff and compassionate nurses at GWV for their exceptional care and support during Alberto's final month.

A memorial service in honor of Alberto's life will be held on Saturday, May 11, from 2 to 4 pm at the Yeosock Funeral Home, located at 40 S Main St, Plains, 18705.
