Obituary

Andrew J. Yencha of Penndel, PA passed away peacefully on Friday morning, July 1st, 2022 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA.

Andrew was born and raised in Plains, PA, where he attended Plains High School and Wyoming Seminary.  He was a US Army veteran and was employed by the United States Postal Service for 40 years before his retirement in 1998.  Andrew was a founding member of St. Stephen Orthodox Cathedral in Philadelphia, PA where he regularly attended services and participated in many activities throughout the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Catherine Yencha , brother Stephen Yencha, sister Catherine Ziemba, and infant daughter Tanya Yencha. Andrew is survived by his loving wife Daria Yencha, his son Andrew and wife Megan Yencha (Sellersville, PA), daughter Maura and husband Andrew Wagner (Newtown, PA), along with eight loving grand children: Stephen, Matthew, Timothy, Brielle, Michael, and Jack Yencha, and Tamra and Ella Wagner.

Andrew was an avid gardener who loved being outside and spending time with his family and friends. Never able to do enough for others,  Andrew found joy in the simple things in life like sitting on the back patio and listening to the rain.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 6th at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen Orthodox Cathedral, 8598 Verree Road, Philadelphia, 19115 with viewing from 9-10 a.m.  Interment will be at Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Plains, PA. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to St Stephen's Orthodox Cathedral, Philadelphia.
