Obituary

With overwhelming grief and profound sadness, the family of Anthony Savero, of Jenkins Township, announces his unexpected passing at home on November 27, 2024.

Born and raised in Scranton, Anthony graduated from Scranton High School and went on to pursue his passion for cars and the auto sales industry. Through hard work and dedication, he built his own business as the owner and operator of Savero's Auto Sales. After leaving the car business Tony also worked for General Dynamics, Yatesville and Jenkins Township. In his work and life, Anthony formed countless lasting friendships, thanks to his genuine care for others and his fun-loving, magnetic personality. People were naturally drawn to his unique charm, warmth, and humor. He was a larger-than-life presence who left an unforgettable mark on everyone he met.

Anthony was devoted to his family above all else and dearly missed by his beloved wife, Paula Savero; best friend and constant companion through every challenge and joy life brought their way. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. He also leaves behind his two cherished children, Anthony and Montana, the lights of his life. Tony would have moved heaven and earth for them, always putting his family first and doing everything in his power to care for and support them. His family also included his loyal German shepherd, Caesar, his constant companion and furry best friend.

Tony's sense of humor, sharp wit, and infectious laughter were hallmarks of his personality. A natural jokester, he had a way of bringing joy and laughter into every room he entered. Those who knew him will remember his bold spirit, his unique perspective, and the way he made everyone feel special and seen.

Born and raised in Scranton, he was preceded in death, by his sister, Christine Savero, his father, Anthony Savero and his grandparents.  He is survived by his heartbroken wife and best friend, Paula, and the apples of his eyes, his daughter Montana and son Anthony, mother, Christine Savero; brother, Brian Savero, and mother-in-law, Helen Zapotoski.

A private funeral and celebration of life service will be held by the family and funeral arrangements were entrusted to Yeosock Funeral Home, Plains. Anthony's final resting place will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming. PA.

Anthony Savero's life was one of love, dedication, and unforgettable presence. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His legacy of laughter, kindness, and family devotion will never be forgotten.
