Obituary

Barbara Sobocinski, affectionately known as "Gammie", passed away peacefully
on Saturday morning, September 10, 2022. Born in Wilkes-Barre on June 4, 1939,
she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Wysocki Guresh. She was the
wife of Daniel Sobocinski who preceded her in death.
Barbara will be missed by her daughter Danette Betancourt, wife of Eli and two
sons David Sobocinski, husband of Eileen and Kevin Sobocinski, husband of Kim.
She cherished the time spent with her two granddaughters, Haleigh Beckman,
wife of Payton and Kaitlyn Sobocinski as well as two step-grandchildren Garrett
Betancourt, husband of Emily and Corinne Wenger, wife of Jordan. She was
blessed with great grandson, Wilder Beckman and step great grandchildren, Mia
Betancourt, and Brooklyn, Coleson and Dalton Wenger. Barbara will also be
remembered by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews as well as friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by siblings John Guresh and Leonardine Bassler.
The family would like to thank and extend special appreciation to Dr. Frank
Olshemski and the team members of the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their
compassionate care.
A memorial service will be held at Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 South Main Street,
Plains, PA on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Father James Nash
officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment
will immediately follow in Ss Peter and Paul Cemetery, Plains.
