Carl P. Fedak, 93, formerly of Wilkes Barre, passed peacefully into eternal life in King George, VA, Tuesday, November 8, 2022 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Ashley on March 3, 1929, a son of the late John and Mary (Grick) Fedak. He attended Hanover High School. He was employed by Ertley's Motor World for 38 years and the last 18 served as Body Shop Manager. After his retirement, he worked in the bakery department at Sam's Club. He was proud to serve his country with the US Navy Reserve for 4 years and the US Army/Army Reserve for 6 years where he served during the Korean War. He was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Parish, Plains. Carl was an avid golfer, gardener and a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Preceding him in death were brothers: John, Joseph, Andrew, Peter and Michael Fedak; and sisters: Mary Ostroski, Helen Hojnowski, and Pauline Blaski. Surviving are his wife Mary of 67 years, children: James Fedak (Helena) of King George, VA, Barbara Holbrook of Parsons, and Carl Fedak, Jr. (Linda) Mountaintop; brother: Paul Fedak, (Mary-deceased), Clark Summit; sister: Anna Watchilla (Joseph) Camp Hill; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2022, from Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. from Saints Peter & Paul Parish, Plains. Interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2022 and 8:15 a.m. until services on Monday morning at the funeral home.
