Carl B. Shotwell Sr. 82 a resident at Birchwood Nursing Faculty on Hospice, Nanticoke PA passed away May18, 2022 with family by his side. Carl was born March 27, 1940 to the late Asa and Edna (Irene Andrews) Shotwell. He was preceded in death by siblings Asa, Harold Sr., George Sr., Byron Sr., Irene Emil, and Eileen (Dolly) McDonnell. Carl was preceded in death by his wife Zelma Mae (Whiting) Shotwell also his late companion Ellen. Carl was predeceased by his sons the late Carl jr., William, and Loren and survived by his daughters, Edna-Mae Casey and Shirley Bankes and son, Kenneth. Carl also had the opportunity of raising two loving grandchildren Carl III and Sheila Sedar.  Carl enjoyed playing guitar, camping, and singing around the campfire. Carl has 15 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren several nieces and nephews. Carl was employed by Pride Mobility until his retirement. The family would like to thank Birchwood staff and Residential Hospice staff for the care they gave and their loving support.  The family will celebrate Carl's life privately with no services scheduled.
