In Loving Memory of Carole A. Martin
January 1, 1944 – May 17, 2025

Carole A. Martin, 81, a lifelong resident of Swoyersville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

Born on New Year's Day in 1944 in Luzerne, Pennsylvania, Carole was the daughter of the late Leonard Laskowski and Anna (Evanko) Laskowski. She graduated from Swoyersville High School in 1962 and went on to complete a year of college at Penn State University.

Carole began her professional life in accounting and went on to work for RCA. She later held positions at Giant Markets and Techneglas, where she remained until its closure. She concluded her career as the deli manager at Gerrity's, where she was known for her warm smile and dedication.

Adventurous and full of life, Carole had a true zest for new experiences. She loved sports cars, motorcycles, skydiving, and the thrill of roller coasters. Her heart belonged to the tropics—she found joy in traveling to sun-soaked islands and exploring new places. She was also a loyal football fan and proudly rooted for her favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, never missing a game.

Beyond her bold spirit, Carole was known for her generosity and love of cooking. Her meals were a source of comfort and celebration, and she delighted in sharing them with family and friends.

She is survived by her two children, Brian Arnone and Jaime Kocis, and her two beloved grandchildren, Adler and Harper Kocis.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Swoyersville on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10:30 AM. A viewing will be held prior to the Mass.
