Obituary

Daniel Fedrow, 99, passed away peacefully under hospice care on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas, PA.

Born May 4, 1925, in Larksville, PA, Dan graduated from Larksville High School in 1945 before proudly serving his country as a Marine during World War II. As a radar operator, he participated in the Battle of Iwo Jima. After his military service, Dan pursued a career as a chef for a prominent catering business in Delaware. Upon retiring, he returned to Northeast Pennsylvania, where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and tending to his garden.

Dan was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Johanna Fedrow; brothers Paul, John, Michael, and William; and sisters Veronica, Mary, Anna, Katheryn, and Helen.

He is survived by his sisters Elizabeth of Harveys Lake and Eva of Wilkes-Barre; brother Edward of Harveys Lake; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Meadows for their care and compassion over the last four years.

A funeral service will be conducted Monday, December 2 at 10:45 a.m. from the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S Main St, Plains, 18705, with the V. Rev. Innocent Neal, of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church presiding.  All services will be in the Funeral Home with friends and family gathering for visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service.  Interment immediately following in St John the Baptist Orthodox Cemetery, Pringle.
