Daniel C. Williams, age 75, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024, at Allied Services Meade Street Skilled Nursing Facility. Born on June 20, 1949, Daniel was a lifelong resident of West Wyoming and Wilkes-Barre. He was the son of the late Fred and Marion Smith Williams and was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Bohan, sister-in-law, Betty Williams, and nephew, Thomas Williams. He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl Lavelle, with whom he shared 33 happy years.

Daniel was a dedicated machine operator at Diamond Manufacturing in West Wyoming, where he worked for 42 years before his well-deserved retirement. A proud graduate of Wyoming Area High School's class of 1968, Daniel carried his strong work ethic and love for his community throughout his life.

An avid outdoorsman, Daniel enjoyed fishing and hunting, spending countless hours immersed in the tranquility of nature. He was a cherished member of the Isaak Walton Farm Club and the Yatesville Bocce League. His love for friendly competition also found a place in league bowling at Stanton Lanes and Chacko's Bowling. In addition to his outdoor pursuits, Daniel had a creative side, enjoying arts and crafts of various kinds.

Daniel was a devoted father and grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his, brother, Fred Williams; children, Daniel Williams Jr. and wife Christine of Towanda, Jennifer Bowersox and husband Craig of Shavertown, Karen Williams, Brian Williams and wife Jennifer of Wilkes-Barre, and Timothy Lavelle and wife Heather of Wilkes-Barre. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, T.J. Lavelle, Corey and Jared Hodgson, Kevin and Kyle Culver, Hailey, Kaiden, Everly, and Grayson Williams; and his great-grandchildren, Raven Hodgson and Charmayne Foersch.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of Daniel Williams to the Luzerne County SPCA and/or Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, reflecting his love for animals.

Daniel will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. A private service will be held for immediate family.
