Dennis
Gliddon
d. Oct 16, 2025
Dennis Gliddon, 58, of Hanover Township, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025. Born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania on September 11, 1967, he was the beloved son of Beverly Eckerd Clews and the late Richard Gliddon. Dennis grew up in a close-knit family, which helped shape the loving, loyal, and caring man he became.
Dennis will be remembered as a kind, hardworking man who always had time for others. He found joy in simple things — spending time in his garage, working on cars, casting a line on a quiet afternoon, and helping family and friends whenever they needed a hand. He worked for many years at Olympic Pools, where his dedication and strong work ethic were admired by all who knew him. His easy going nature and generous spirit touched everyone he met. Dennis was also a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, sharing his love for the team with family and friends.
He is survived by his cherished sons, Dennis Gliddon and James Patts, both of Wilkes-Barre. Dennis loved his children dearly, cherished every moment spent with them, and would have done anything for them. He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Beverly and Lawrence Clews; his stepmother, Theresa Hoover; his sisters, Brenda (Chris) Ungureit, Lisa Vanderhoff, and Michelle Dugan (Rob); his brothers, Richard Gliddon, Michael Hoover, and Jeffrey Hoover; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly. He will also be missed greatly by his best friends, Wayne and Mike, who shared in many of Dennis's happiest moments and lifelong memories. He also shared a loving friendship with the mother of his children, Romaine.
Dennis is reunited in Heaven with his father, Richard Gliddon; his daughter, Vondra Patts; and his paternal grandmother, Nellie Gliddon.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing, which will be held on Sunday, October 26th, from 2 to 4 PM at Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 South Main St, Plains, Pennsylvania. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in Edge Hill Cemetery.
Dennis will be remembered for his warm heart, his love for the outdoors, and his unwavering loyalty to the people he loved. He was a beloved son, brother, and father who brought joy and support to his family throughout his life. Dennis leaves behind a legacy of love. His spirit will remain with his mother, sons, and family as they navigate the days ahead without his physical presence, but with his love forever in their hearts. May he rest in peace.
