Dorothy Jean Pelak, affectionally known as "Dee" or "Dot" by those closest to her, passed away at the age of 69 on Monday May 2 nd , at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Dorothy was born on June 16 th , 1952 in Wilkes-Barre PA. She was a 1970 graduate of Plains Highschool. She had been a r esident of Plains her entire life.

Dee was a kin d , loving soul who was the first there for family and friends in times of need. Her sparkling personality and wit were always making everyone laugh. Her smile was contagious, while her generous, giving nature held no bounds . She was an amazing homemaker and doted on her family first and foremost.

A loving wife and mother, Dorothy's true loves were her grandsons. They were the light of her life and she never let them forget it. She adored those boys with every fiber of her being. Dot's fur grandbabies of course, held a special spot in her heart.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her father, Herman Clark, Mother, Eleanor Clark, and sisters, Sherry Johnson and Ruth Clark.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Michael Pelak (Plains), daughters Amanda Pelak(Plains) Michelle Conahan (Wilkes-Barre), son Daniel Conahan (Exeter) and grandsons Caullen and Mason Kupris (Plains) A special mention to Dot's best friend of 56 years, Patricia Phillips with whom she spoke with every morning on the phone.

Her family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Progressive Care Unit, Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, for their compassionate concern and wonderful care for Dorothy during her time there.
