Dwayne Shimkoski, 53, of Hunlock Creek, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Allied Medical Hospice in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Dwayne was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Marion Breymeier Shimkoski. He is survived by his daughter, Shelby Kersting, and her husband, Kyle; his sisters, JoAnn Brooks and her husband, Andrew, and Susan Pelak and her husband, David; and his brother, Gregg Shimkoski, and his wife, Amber, with whom Dwayne resided. He also leaves behind several cherished nieces and nephews.

A dedicated fisherman and loyal New York Giants fan, Dwayne found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first grandson, expected in September 2024.

Dwayne's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever remember his love for the outdoors and his unwavering support for his favorite football team.
