Edward
Grosek, Jr.
d. Oct 24, 2026
Edward Grosek Jr., 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2026, following complications from Parkinson’s disease.
Born on April 26, 1951, Ed was a proud graduate of Coughlin High School, where he formed deep, lifelong bonds and always made it a priority to keep in touch with his many old friends. A master carpenter for most of his life, Ed learned his trade working alongside his father at the family construction company, building a legacy of hard work and fine craftsmanship.
Ed was a passionate classic car and motorcycle enthusiast. He spent countless hours doing what he loved most: owning, meticulously restoring, and bringing new life to numerous classic Fords and many other vintage vehicles. His love for local automotive history shone brightly through his involvement with the car community, and he was absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Pocono Drag Lodge reunions, sharing stories and his passion with fellow enthusiasts. He loved the freedom of the open road, frequently riding his motorcycle in charity bike runs to support good causes, as well as taking pleasure rides through the countryside with his wife, Gloria, by his side. Ed was also an avid boater, and his absolute happy place was spending beautiful days out on Harveys Lake, a tradition he and Gloria cherished for many years. Together, they shared a deep love for travel, exploring many Caribbean islands and enjoying several wonderful cruises. He also fully realized a lifelong dream by living in his beautiful log cabin home, where he spent 27 wonderful years finding comfort and happiness.
Above all else, Ed was a kind, gentle, and deeply loving husband. For 44 beautiful years, he shared a life of devotion and companionship with his wife, Gloria. He was a wonderful provider and a constant source of love.
He will be profoundly missed by his wife, Gloria, and his faithful companion, Daisy.
In addition to his beloved wife, Ed is survived by his brothers, Andrew and Glenn, and his sister, Susan.
Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Edward's memory to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702
