Our dear mother,Florence (Chulvick) Rampola, sadly passed away at home on January 3rd 2024 at the age of 92. She was the widow of Joseph J. Rampola who died on January 26th, 1976.
Born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, she was retired from Frieders Cigar Factory and Roth American Toy Factory, both in Wilkes Barre where she lived all of her life. Our mother was a member of St. Peter and Pauls Church, Plains Township, PA.
She was the daughter of the late Stella (Wendoloski) Chulvick and Joseph Chulvick. Surviving are her two daughters Sharon Rampola and her partner Matthew Patrick, Tobyhanna, PA; and Marlene Craig also of Tobyhanna, PA;her brother Joseph Chulvick and his wife Monica; and a sister Bernice Czyczerski. Also surviving are her two grandchildren, Matthew Rampola and his family Jamie O'Hern and sons Logan and Isaiah; Nicole Rampola and Luke Arbogast. She was also blessed with one great-grandchild, Ethan Rampola Arbogast.
Her daughters would also like to give thanks to her loving friends who treated her like family, Jamie and Maryann Bonavina and AnnaMae Lavan. They were always there whenever she needed them and we'd like to express our gratitude to them.
Our mother loved to dance and for many years was a fan of the polka gatherings in Dupont, PA. Her friends may remember her dancing away a Sunday afternoon and sometimes even taking the microphone for a quick song. She loved her friends there and always spoke of those days with the fondest of memories. She also spent hours gardening in her yard and enjoying the beauty she created there each and every summer.
