Gail F. (Petras) Morris, 83, of Dallas, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Kadima at Lakeside in Dallas, PA. She had previously resided for several years at the Village at Greenbriar, also in Dallas. Born March 9, 1943, at Nesbitt Hospital in Kingston, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Basil G. Petras and Rosie C. (Magalski) Petras. Gail lived in Edwardsville until 1966, in Kingston until 2010, and thereafter in Dallas. She received her Registered Nursing diploma from Geisinger Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1962, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University in 1988, and her Master of Health Administration from Wilkes University in 1992. Gail dedicated her professional life to nursing and healthcare administration, serving at Nesbitt Hospital in Kingston, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross in Wilkes-Barre, and United Methodist Homes’ Wesley Village Campus in Pittston. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Morris, in 2017. Gail is survived by her sons, John T. Morris, Jr. and his wife Wendy L. Morris, and Scott D. Morris and his wife Danielle Morris; and by her three grandchildren, Morgan L. Morris and her husband Frank Masi, Sara Morris, and Cameron Morris. Gail was known for her reliability and her quiet dedication to those she loved. She enjoyed watercolor painting, reading, spending time with family and friends at the Harvey’s Lake Yacht Club, and simply being together with the people who mattered most to her. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 1, 2026 from to 2 to 4 pm at the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main Street, Plains,  18705. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
