Obituary of Genevieve "Janet" Pambianco

Genevieve "Janet" Pambianco welcomed her angel wings on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Kingston Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.

Janet was born January 4, 1937 to Catherine and Walter Picketts.  She recently celebrated her 87th birthday.

Janet attended Plains Township schools.  As a young woman, she worked at Lispi's Restaurant, Plains Township, and in later years at Hill's Department Store, Wilkes-Barre.  Janet devoted her life to being a wife, mother and homemaker. She especially loved her role as Nana.

Janet will be remembered as a remarkable cook and baker. She enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends, especially during the holidays.  She was a gentle woman who was selfless in her actions and words.  She gave a lot and expected nothing in return.

Surviving are her loving husband of 66 years, Gerald; children, Matthew Pambianco and his wife,Victoria, Swoyersville; and Maria White and her husband,Gerald, Hunlock Creek; grandchildren, Gerald Pambianco, Angelina White and Justin White; great granddaughters, Audrey Ford and Ambreya Pambianco; sisters, Elaine Sabach, Linda Rutkowski and Elizabeth Novak; and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her son and his wife, Raymond and Paulette Pambianco; grandson, Nicholas Pambianco; sister, Rose Swaditch; brother, Albert Picketts.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Kingston Rehabilitation and Nursing  Center for years of incredible patience and tenderness.  Also to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Moosic, for their compassion and focus on mom's comfort.

Arrangements are entrusted to Yeosock Funeral Home, Plains Township.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 10am Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Saints Peter and Paul Church, Hudson Road, Plains Township. Private interment to follow at Italian Independent Cemetery, Wyoming.

At Janet's request, there will be no viewing hours.
