Georgia Loyack, 82, of Pittston, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center following an illness. She was born on September 21, 1943.

Georgia was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, family member, and cherished friend to many. She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Thomas Loyack, and her daughter, Julie Dowling, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, dedication, and treasured memories. She was also deeply loved and cared for by her grandchildren, Preston, Peyton, Damien, Lillian, Oakleigh, and Kiana, who brought great joy to her life.

Georgia dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a nurse at General Hospital. She was known for her compassion, kindness, and commitment to her patients and coworkers throughout her nursing career.

In her free time, Georgia especially loved spending time with her husband watching Yankees games together and enjoyed reading books, two simple pleasures that brought her comfort and happiness throughout her life.

She will be remembered for her strength, warm heart, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
