Helen Rushton Grumblis, 74, passed away on Thursday October 19th 2023 at Allied Services Hospice Center. Born in Edwardsville she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Rushton. Helen loved playing canasta with her sisters and aunts. She loved dogs, including her dog, Bella and rescued Boxers. One of the greatest gifts in her life was the birth of her great granddaughter Aurora. She loved spending time with her friends and family and it was often a highlight of her week. Helen was a part of the first graduating class of Wyoming Valley West High School, in 1967. Helen was employed as the payroll and benefits manager at the Lion Brewery company before her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she is preceeded in death by her sister Mary Cunius, brother John Rushton and husband Joseph Grumblis. She is survived by her daughter Ann Marie Grumblis - Lechak of Pringle, son Joseph Grumblis Jr. and his wife Lori Matusick- Grumblis of Hudson, grandchildren Sarah Lechak and Brian Lechak Jr. of Pringle, Jessica Grumblis and Joseph Grumblis III of Hudson, great granddaughter Aurora Cobleigh of Hudson, sister Alexsandra Pocono of Swoyersville, sister Olga Conant of Edwardsville, and brother Thomas Rushton of Coppers Cove, Texas.
The family invites friends and relatives to a visitation service at Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S Main St, Plains, on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 5 to 8 pm, with a Parastas Service at 7:30 p. A Funeral Service will commence on Tuesday morning, October 24, at 9:15 am, also at Yeosock Funeral Home, followed by a procession to St John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 93 Zerby Ave, Edwardsville, 18704, for a Requiem Service at 10 am. Interment immediately following in St John the Baptist Orthodox Cemetery, Connor St, Pringle. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen can be made to Rebecca's Paws and Claws (RPACI) Rescue, PO Box 229, Remlap Alabama, 35133
