Joann Ghant, age 64, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2026, in Kingston, Pennsylvania.

Born on February 3, 1962, in Staten Island, New York to the late Joseph Avery Spivey and Rosemary Tibbs, Joann was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, as well as a cherished friend to many. She brought warmth, kindness, laughter, and love into the lives of all who knew her.

Joann is survived by her devoted husband, Jamie Ghant; her cherished grandchildren: Najae Destinee Briggs (wife Reiley Paulewicz), Howard Halter Briggs V, and Jaxson Avery Briggs; and her siblings: Valerie Lenise Prince, Thomas Lee Tibbs, and Joan Spivey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Avery Spivey and Rosemary Tibbs; her beloved sons, Howard Halter Briggs IV (survived by wife Vanessa Green) and Joseph Avery Briggs; and her siblings: Patricia Rose Gaddy, Leslie Florence Spivey, and Kevin Richard Tibbs.
