Obituary

John S Miller, aged 62, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and children following an extended illness.


He was born August 15th, 1960 in Hazleton and lived here all his life. He loved his hometown and was passionate about supporting local businesses and especially loved Jimmy's Quick Lunch. So if you'd like to celebrate John's life support local or go have some hot dogs or liver amd onions at Jimmy's. They're were both John's favorite.

He was a graduate of Hazleton Area High school and held many certifications from WelderTesteing and Training Institue. He was employed by Bridg-it Fabricators for over 23 years where he was a welder/fitter and carpenter foreman on highway and bridge job sites.

His most important accomplishment and love was being a father and grandfather. He participated in the boy scouts where he helped his son all the way to Eagle scout. He also coached many of his children's basketball and baseball teams and spent many weekends traveling while accompanying them to tournaments.

His hobbies.included a love of gardening, target shooting, and traveling with his family. He especially enjoyed babysitting and spending time with his grandchildren and Jade his blue heeler who was his best buddy.

In place of traditional funeral services there will be a celebration of life for family and friends which will be announced at a later date.
