John Polinsky, 86, former resident of the Lee Park section of Hanover Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the River View Nursing and Rehab Facility. Born on August 9, 1936, John's life was marked by his devoted work ethic, love for music and gadgets, and a faith that carried him throughout his years.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mildred, his late parents Anna and Roman,  brother Andrew, and sisters Julia, Mary, and Anna. John leaves a legacy carried forward by his nieces and nephews, Mark Scott, Francis  Scott, Deborah Bernardoni, Kathleen Bohn, and Marie Bronson.

A proud graduate of Plains High School, John's work history includes a commendable 41 years at the Midvale Paper and Box Company and a subsequent 13 years of service at The Citizens' Voice.

Beyond his professional life, John's interests were as varied as they were unique. From his enjoyment of music to his fascination with flea markets and his collection of electronic gadgets, John was always ready to embrace life's little joys. John was member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Wilkes-Barre.

A Funeral Service to honor and remember John's life will be conducted at 11 am on Friday, July 28, 2023. The service will be held at the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S Main St, Plains, 18705. Reverend Gregory White of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre, will officiate the ceremony. Friends and relatives are invited to attend service and the viewing beginning at 10 am until the commencement of the service. Immediately following will be the interment at the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Cemetery, Pringle.
