Josefa "Josie Anne" Verbinski passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, following a long illness. Having resided on North End Road in Mountain Top, she had been convalescing at Riverview Manor in Wilkes-Barre for nearly a year.

Born in Kingston on March 8, 1949, Josefa was the daughter of the late Benjamin Verbinski and Josephine Walekievich Verbinski.

Josefa devoted her life to caring for others. She worked as a nurse for the practice of Dr. E. A. Groblewski and later at Geisinger Hospital, from where she retired. She is survived by a large extended family, especially her cousins, John Groblewski and Tony Groblewski.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Saint Ignatius Cemetery, 486 Hoyt Street, Kingston. A luncheon for family and friends will follow the service.
