Obituary

Joseph "Joe" Andrew Jackloski, 77, of Edwardsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, surrounded by his loving family and his dear friend, Robert Rensa.

Born in 1948, he was the son of the late Anna Jackloski and Andrew "Bubbles" Jackloski. Joe was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Class of 1966, and later earned a degree in mechanical engineering.

Joe was endlessly curious about the inner workings of the world around him. He was fascinated by machines, science, and people alike. He spent many years working in sales, where his natural ability to listen and understand others allowed him to provide thoughtful solutions to those he served. His career supported his lifelong passions, including photography and working on cars.

As his family grew, Joe proudly carried on many of the traditions he learned from his mother, especially during the holidays. His cooking and dedication helped bring family together and keep those cherished traditions alive.

There wasn't a soul Joe couldn't strike up a conversation with. Family, friends, and even strangers often sought his advice, and he was always eager to share what he knew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert.

A visitation service will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, at the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 South Main Street, Plains.

Flowers and donations are appreciated.

Joe was fond of meaningful quotations, and one that feels especially fitting is:

"Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality."
— Emily Dickinson
