Josephine M. Bizub, of Port Blanchard, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at home.   Born in Pittston on August 17, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Catherine & Pasquale Pirillo.

Josephine and her beloved husband, Joseph, shared 64 happy years of marriage.

Josephine worked as a seamstress in her early years.  She was a homemaker, excellent cook and baker, enjoyed gardening and caring for her family.  She was loved by all.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Pirillo; sister in law Mary Helen Pirillo.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Prater for years of exceptional care.

In addition to her loving husband Joseph, she is survived by her four children:  Joseph, Plains; Brenda Stchur and her husband Nick, Hudson; Robert, Beaumont;  Karen, Rahway NJ. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, whom she adored: Dylan Bizub, Shelby Bizub and Nicholas Stchur and great-grandson, Jude.  Also surviving are her loving brothers Joseph Pirillo and Bernard Pirillo; several nieces & nephews.


A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 21st, at 8:30 am from the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S Main St., Plains followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist, 35 William St., Pittston, with the Rev. Joseph Elston officiating. Interment immediately following in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends and relatives may call for a visitation on Wednesday, April 20th from 5 to 7 pm at the Funeral Home.
