Kenneth G. Carpenter, (77), of Pringle, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2023, surrounded by loving family.

Kenneth, fondly known as Ken, was born to Henry and Melissa Carpenter, on August 28, 1945, in Kingston, Pennsylvania. He was a retired US Navy Veteran who loved his family and friends with all his heart. After graduating from Edwardsville High School in 1963, Ken graduated from Advanced Trade Schools for HVAC. He was a masterful technician that served his community by fixing the most advanced problems with intuition and grace. For 30 years, Ken served the Wyoming Valley West School District before retiring from the trade. He also enjoyed spending his free time on hobbies like: photography, golfing, birdwatching, fishing, and spending time in nature.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Betty, and three children, Scott (Tanya), Eric (Leigh), and Amy (Mike). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ben and Sam Carpenter. In addition, he is survived by bothers-in-law, Sonny Myslak and Larry Krulick, and several nieces and a nephew. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Melissa.

Aside from his love of nature and photography, Ken was passionate about helping others. A real life 'Mr. Fix-It,' he was always the first person called when someone needed something remedied. From computers to AC systems, he was a go-to in his neighborhood. Ken made quite an impact in his family and community, and he will truly be missed.

Ken's family will host a Memorial Service on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S Main St, Plains, 18705 and Funeral Service, from the Funeral Home, at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023, Interment with Military Honors immediately following Orcutt Grove Cemetery, Noxen.
