Leanne Marie Kuehnle, 59, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 20, 1965, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Leanne was the beloved daughter of Sonja Kay and Thomas Kay.

Leanne's journey through life was one marked by intelligence, ambition, and a wonderful sense of humor that touched all who knew her. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Wilkes University, which paved the way for a fulfilling career as an Electrical/Nuclear Engineer at the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Commission. Her dedication to her profession exemplified her hard-working and articulate nature, making her a respected figure in her field.

A devoted mother, Leanne is survived by her cherished daughter, Anya Harrison, who was the light of her life. Leanne's love for Anya was boundless, and she took great pride in being a supportive and nurturing parent. Her legacy of love will continue to shine through Anya and all those she touched throughout her life.

Leanne's faith was an integral part of her identity. She was raised in the Russian-Orthodox tradition and was a lifelong member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Wilkes-Barre, PA. As an adult, she continued her spiritual journey at St. Catherine's Eastern Orthodox Church in Hagerstown, MD, where she was actively involved in volunteer work and contributed to the community as a resource for the organization "Gatekeepers." Her commitment to helping others reflected her nurturing spirit and kind heart.

Leanne's interests extended beyond her professional and volunteer work. She was known for her chic sense of style and her ability to articulate her thoughts with eloquence. Friends and family often remarked on her vast knowledge and the way she could easily engage in conversations on various topics, always bringing a touch of humor to the table.

Leanne's life will be celebrated at Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S Main St, Plains, 18705 on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 9:30 AM and will conclude with a prayer service at 10:30 AM in the Funeral Home.

Leanne Marie Kuehnle leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and laughter. Her spirit will remain with her mother, Sonja Kay, and her daughter, Anya Harrison, as they navigate the days ahead without her physical presence but with her love forever in their hearts. May she rest in peace.
