Linda Marie
Motsko
d. Jun 18, 2024
Linda Marie Motsko, aged 60, of Plains Township, passed away on the evening of Tuesday, June 18, 2024.
Linda was a passionate lover of the great outdoors, finding joy in backpacking, hiking, fishing, and gardening. Her enthusiasm for music was equally fervent, marked by her attendance at countless concerts.
Born on May 20, 1964, in the Miners Mills area of Wilkes-Barre, she was the cherished daughter of the late Sylvester "Chet" and Mary (Coffay) Lazovich.
A proud alumna of Bishop Hoban High School in Wilkes-Barre and Luzerne County Community College, Linda dedicated many years to her career before deciding to focus on her family as a full-time homemaker, a role she embraced fully to nurture her daughter.
Preceded in death by her brother, Michael Lazovich, Linda's memory is honored by her loving husband of 36 years, Barry Motsko of Plains Twp.; her daughter, Emily, and Emily's wife, Paige, of Plains Twp.; sisters, Mary Yurgaitis and her husband Charles of Wyoming, and Tina Barber and her husband Chip of Hanover Twp.; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Marsha Alu; and numerous adoring nieces and nephews. Also mourning her passing is her beloved grand dog, Olive.
Linda cherished her lifelong friendships, maintaining bonds from her teenage years to the present—a testament to her loyal and loving nature. Her friends, Travis, Vince, Stanley, Donna, and Charlie, reflect a circle of companionship that remained unbroken through the years.
During this time of loss, Barry, Emily, and Paige extend their heartfelt gratitude to family, friends, and colleagues for the overwhelming love and support received.
The family also wishes to acknowledge the compassionate care provided by Dr. Paul Witt, Linda's long-time family physician, who offered comfort and understanding throughout her journey.
A memorial service will be conducted in Linda's honor on Sunday, June 30, from 2 to 4pm at Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S Main St, Plains 18705. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Linda may be made to the Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge at www.bcfanimalrefuge.org/donate, a cause close to her heart.
