Obituary

Lucy Ann Pocceschi, 94, of Pittston Township, passed away on December 23,2022 surrounded by family. Lucy was born on March 28, 1928 to Fannie Colondo, and Modesto Pocceschi in the former Pittston Hospital. Lucy attended school until sixth grade, she went on to work in the Tobacco Industry to help support her family. Lucy immediately lit up any room she entered and made an impact on so many people, and a second mother to several even without having kids of her own. She was a joyful presence with her clothing, beautiful black hair, cooking, and loving personality. She loved her friends and family, and filled her home with warmth and kindness. Lucy spent her time making macaroni, playing cards with nieces, and nephews, watching game shows, and was an active member at the Pittston Senior Center. Lucy was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Pocceschi; four brothers John, Lawrence, Robert, and Arthur Pocceschi, Sister In-Laws Janice Pocceschi, Marion Pocceschi, and two nephews Rodney Pocceschi, and Joseph Kozelsky. She is survived by a Brother Gabriel (Gabe) Pocceschi, Harding, a Sister Clotilda (Clo) Kozelsky, and husband Robert Kozelsky, Wilkes Barre, a sister in law Nancy Pocceschi, Mountain Top, and many loved nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held at St Joseph Marello Parrish Our Lady of Mount Caramel Church, 237 William St, Pittston, PA 1864, on Friday, December 30, 2022 ,   at 12:45PM with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following.
