Margaret Mirowski (née Shovlin), age 86, of the Hudson Section, Plains Twp, passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2023.

Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Steven Mirowski for 60 cherished years. She is also predeceased by her late parents, Francis and Mary (Evans) Shovlin and daughter, Cheryl Butry. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Zeller and her husband Martin; sons, Stephen Mirowski and his wife Barbara Burridge, and Thomas Mirowski, Sr and his wife Linda, who will continue to honor their mother's spirit.

Margaret was also a sister to Francis "Sonny" Shovlin and his wife Faye. Her legacy will live on in her 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, who will forever carry with them the memory of their Grandmother's warmth and wisdom.

Margaret was a lifelong member of Saint Peters and Paul Church, holding close to her faith and community.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Margaret's niece and nephew, Muriel and Lenny Lispi. Their astounding love, comfort, and care provided to Margaret over the years was truly invaluable, with Muriel's selfless support over Margaret's last few months being nothing short of amazing.

In honor of Margaret's wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date at the family's convenience.

Margaret had a lifelong affection for felines, and was an avid cat lover. As such, those wishing to honor Margaret's memory may consider making a donation to the Luzerne County SPCA in her name.

Her life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
