Obituary

Marilyn Nasser, 70, a lifelong resident of Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Wednesday October 6th at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.  As a child Marilyn attended St John's followed by graduating from James M Coughlin High School Class of 1969. Marilyn worked full time for 27 years for the city of Wilkes-Barre, predominantly in the Bureau of Community Development. Marilyn was a hard working and loving single mother of her twins, and later, enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Marilyn is survived by her twin children, Lara Nasser and Michael Nasser, Wilkes-Barre, brother  George Nasser and Kathleen Leonard, Plains, sister, Ellen and Bernie Nasser of Groton,CT,  three loving grandchildren, Kaleigh Erin Nasser, 17 Deerfield Beach FL, Richard Abraham Huften, 8, Wilkes-Barre And Abel Michael Huften,1, Wilkes-Barre PA and 5 nieces and nephews, Calista, Lindsay and Nicholas Nasser of Pennsylvania and Bernie and Daniel Nasser of Groton,CT and her 4 cherished cats.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Laura Nasser (Wilkes-Barre) and her significant other Sandy Insalaco, (Pittston) who was a loving father figure for over 40 years.

Friends and family may call for a viewing on Monday, from 4 to 6 at the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S Main Street, Plains.
