Mildred "Milly" Arlene Ives

Mildred A. Ives, 73, went to be with the Lord on October 19 th 2021. Mildred was born on November 25, 1947 in the Connamor Nursing Home , Bainbridge NY. She is the daughter of Clarence and Sarah Lillian (Neale) Ives. Mildred is survived by brothers Robert ( LuAnn ) Ives, William ( Leslie ) Ives and sister Phyllis (Edward) Ives Davis. She is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews, Steven Davis, Keith (Stephanie) Ives, Charlene (Kirk) Hoyt , Lisa (Trevor) Grant , Richard (Shanda) Ives, Dan (Elizabeth) Ives, Jason (Mary) Ives and Charlie Chapman as well as 22 great nieces and nephews . Mildred Graduated from Afton Central School in 1965, then went to Ridley- Lowell School of Business in Binghamton NY . From there she became a student at Baptist Bible Seminary in Johnson City NY . In 1968 the Seminary moved to Pa and became Baptist Bible College of Pa. Mildred continued as a student relocating to Factoryville Pa. Mildred worked at Acker Drill Co. in Township Pa for many years. She became a beloved member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Falls Pa. where she was a Sunday school teacher, VBS leader and a youth leader. Honey Bear was Mildreds dog, who was her constant companion. Mildred had the ability to talk with , encourage and support everyone in the most positive and uplifting way , even when she had her own struggles to deal with. Her smile , laugh and positive attitude w ere always infectious. Over the past 14 years s he has been a resident at River Run Nursing Home in Kingston Pa where she was a council representative for nursing home residents throughout the state of Pa . Mildred had many hobbies. She loved to be in the kitchen cooking and baking, she loved to crochet, did plastic canvas projects, cross stitch, and was always doing projects for family as well as residents and staff at the nursing home. Before going into the nursing home, she participated in craft events, Wrench Ranch Memorial Day and Labor Day F estivals and the Afton Craft Fair where she would sell craft items she made. She loved to play games and was always on Facebook and cell phone with family and friends .
