On June 1, 2024, Monica Chulvick, 86, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully at Wesley Village Rehabilitation Center in Pittston, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Monica retired as a seamstress and remained an active and cherished member of her community throughout her life. She was involved with several organizations, including the Red Hat Society, Plains Lions Club, and St. Francis Church in Wilkes-Barre. Monica was a dedicated member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Plains, PA.

Monica was the daughter of the late Mary (Borisuk) and Stanley Lutecki. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Edward Lutecki. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Joseph; her children, Joseph Chulvick and his wife Jacqueline Finegan of Moosic, PA, and MaryJo Chulvick and her husband Frank Foft of Columbus, OH; and her grandchildren, Kaley Chulvick and Tyler Chulvick of Dunmore, PA.

Monica found joy in sharing her cooking with family and friends. She loved playing bingo and cards, socializing with her friends at Wesley Village, watching the New York Yankees, and trying to answer all the questions on Jeopardy (with a smile).

Friends and relatives are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be held at 10 am, Friday, June 28th, in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains 18705.
