Myron "Mighty" Shaffer, Jr., 61, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on February 29, 1964, in Berwick, he was the son of the late Myron Shaffer, Sr. and Walta (Wertman) Shaffer.

Myron was a devoted husband to Michelle (Monroe) Shaffer and a loving father to Robbie, Jessica, Jeffrey, Tiffany and Niecco. He was especially proud of his grandchildren, who brought him great joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Gladys; and his brothers, Richard, Kevin and Charles.

In addition to his wife and children, Myron is survived by his brothers, Fred, Jerry, Ed, Jeff, Wes and Kenny; his sisters, Lizzy, Rose and Linda; and many nieces and nephews.

Myron loved hunting, fishing and gambling, but most of all he cherished spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his strong presence, his love of the outdoors and his dedication to those closest to him.

Friends and family may call Tuesday, March 10, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 South Main Street, Plains.
