Nancy J. Ogin, 78, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 2, 2026 after moving back home from Florida.

Nancy was a former nurse's aide at Valley Crest Nursing Home. She was a member of American Legion Post 815, Wilkes-Barre Township. She enjoyed fishing, dancing, going to casinos, all her pets and traveling the world with her companion, the late Chet Kitchen Sr. She also enjoyed spending time and talking to her best friend, Joan (Pinky) Kochanski, who was like her sister. Most of all, she loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellwood Ogin and her son, Alan Wasielewski.

Surviving are her sons, Daniel Wasielewski, John Ogin, Jim Ogin (Karyn); her daughter, Lisa Unvarsky (John) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call for visitation on Sunday, April 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main Street, Plains Township. Services will conclude at the funeral home, followed by private committal services.
