Robert William McGraw, 74, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at his home in St. Augustine, Florida. Prior to moving to Florida, he had resided in Wilkes-Barre, Harveys Lake and New Jersey. Born on May 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Gerald and Catherine (Grant) McGraw. Bob entered the armed forces during the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Navy on-board the USS Long Beach. He earned several distinctions and medals including the Good Conduct award. Upon being honorably discharged from the Navy, he attended Rutgers University and attained a degree in Electrical Engineering. Robert pursued a variety of business ventures in the Computer Information Technology field, ranging from sales/consulting to eventually becoming a highly successful businessman and entrepreneur. His professional achievements were many, though he will be best remembered for the startup of Realsims, specializing in aircraft simulators for the Department of Defense contractors. Among his many business contributions and awards, the ones he held most dear were the memories and bonds with friends and colleagues. Robert had a number of interests throughout his life. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed boating and water-skiing at Harveys Lake with friends and family. Robert's other passion was home improvement projects, for which he had an eye for every detail. Robert retired in 2013 to enjoy travelling throughout the U.S. with his wife in their motorhome. In addition to his parents, he is preceeded in death by his sister, Mary McGraw Ford. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, the former Debra Malinick. He is also survived by two children, Shawn (Stephanie) McGraw and Jennifer (Stuart) Lile; seven grandchildren; and by three brothers, Gerald (Carol); Michael (Brenda) and Patrick (Angela); sister-in-law, Donna (Stephen) Menn; and many cousins. A funeral service will be held 10 am Wednesday, April 13, at Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S Main St, Plains, 18705, V. Rev. Michael Evans officiating.  Friends and Relatives may call for visitation on Tuesday, April 12,  from 4 to 6 pm. Interment in Fern Knoll Cemetery, Dallas.
