Stella A. (Detz) Dudzik, 96, passed into the hands of the lord on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023 at Cambridge Riverview Assisted Living.
Born in Plains Sept 9, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Trofim and Sophie Detz. She was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School Class of 1945 and was a lifetime member of Ss Peter and Paul Parish, Plains. Prior to her retirement, Stella was employed by Boscov's Department Store for many years. Stella enjoyed life's simple pleasures, especially spending time with her family, listening to and dancing polkas and playing cards. She was also an excellent cook of Polish cusine.
Preceding her in death were her loving husband Stanley in 1986, brother, Ben Zabriski, sisters Sophie Zabriski, Helen Lapsansky, Mary Demchak, and friend Charles Yurgaitis.
Surviving are daughter Paulinette Tippins and husband Doug, Plains; son Stanley Dudzik and wife Marie, Bear Creek Twp.; grandchildren Kristen Dudzik, Janelle Jumper and companion Piotr Gumolka, Garrett Dudzik and wife Janine, Steven Tippins, and fiancee Emily Kaluzny, and Bryanne Dudzik and companion Sean Moore. Great-grandchildren Jayden and Kairi Jumper, Aaliyah, Dominic, Lydia and Ellie Dudzik, Great-great-grandson Amari Dudzik, and many members of a loving family including sister-in-law Lucille Dudzik and nieces and nephews. Stella will be dearly remembered and forever missed by her family and friends.
The family extends a special thanks to the caregivers at Cambridge Riverview and the Hospice of the Sacred Heart.
Funeral will be on Saturday, Nov 11, 2023 at 9:15 am from the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S Main St, Plains 18705 with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains 18705. Interment will follow at Ss Peter and Paul Parish Cemetery, Plains Twp. Family and friends may call for visitaion at the Funeral Home on Friday, Nov 10th from 5 to 7pm. The family request no flowers. On-line condolences may be made at www.yeosockfuneralhome.com
