Obituary

Teresa (Terry) Klesmer, 67, of Nanticoke, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Allied Hospice Services in Wilkes-Barre with her sons by her side after a two-year courageous battle with cancer.

Terry was born on April 30, 1957, in Passaic, New Jersey, to the late Joseph and Wanda (Grabowski) Jarosz. She was a 1975 graduate of Clifton High School and went on to earn an Associate in Applied Science degree from Passaic Community College. For the last 20 years, Terry worked as a Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst at Genpact.

Terry was known for her heart of gold. She always put others before herself, and even in her darkest moments, she had a smile on her face. Her kindness was boundless, and she never hesitated to offer help to anyone in need. She was a dedicated supporter of numerous charitable organizations, always giving to causes she believed in.

A devoted mother, Terry spent her life encouraging her sons to participate in sports, activities, and events. She dedicated her time to teaching and practicing every sport, going to car shows, mud bogs, rock crawling competitions, and even quadding. Her sons were her pride and joy, and she made sure to include their friends in family activities and vacations. No event was too small, and no activity too big if it meant creating lasting memories together.

Terry's influence went far beyond mere participation. She instilled in her sons the importance of perseverance, the value of family, and the strength found in pushing themselves to be their best. Whether it was a game-winning shot in basketball or conquering a difficult trail, Terry was always there, cheering them on from the sidelines with a heart full of pride.

Her home was a gathering place, a safe haven where her sons' friends knew they were always welcome. The laughter of young voices echoed through the house. Terry never hesitated to open her doors to the people her sons cared about.

Through every adventure, every challenge, and every triumph, Terry was there—guiding, supporting, and teaching not just her sons, but everyone lucky enough to cross her path. To them, she was more than a mother—she was a role model, a mentor, and a friend. Her unwavering commitment to her family was evident in every smile, every story, and every moment they shared.

Her grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she was an ever-present figure at their sports games, theater performances, and special occasions. She cherished taking them to the circus, movies, and other special/fun outings. She never missed a birthday or special occasion and always enjoyed spending the holidays with her family.

Terry is survived by her sons, Joseph and his fiancé Kristyn of Nanticoke, and Christopher of Nanticoke; her grandchildren, Karson, Keegan, and Keayrah; and her sisters, Bibianna Higbie (Ed) of New Jersey and Nina Anderson (Stash) of New Jersey.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff and volunteers at Allied Hospice Services in Wilkes-Barre. They are truly angels on Earth. Their compassionate care was a true blessing during Terry's final days.
