Thomas Edward Cavanaugh, 79 of Laflin, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Thomas was born February 18, 1944, to the late Mary Thomas and Thomas Cavanaugh. Thomas graduated from Meyers High School and attended King's College. He retired as Store Manager from Sear's and Roebuck after 34 years of service. His true passion was performing as the Lead Guitarist for the RPM Old Stars and opening for Jerry Lee Lewis, Chubby Checker, The Letterman as well as countless others. Thomas loved spending vacations with his family at the beach and hosting parties for everyone, which included playing guitar and singing. Thomas will be reunited with his Mother, Mary Thomas Cavanaugh, Father, Thomas Cavanaugh, Sisters, Edith Andrews and Kathleen Sulitka and loving Wife of 47 years, Barbara Cavanaugh. Surviving are his three children, Son and Best Friend, Anthony Cavanaugh of Laflin, PA, Susan Cavanaugh, of Hazleton, PA, Cheryl (Cavanaugh) Musto and Husband Robert of Wilkes Barre,  Granddaughter, Lindsay Musto-Trout, Grandson, Travis Moore, Jr., Granddaughter, Kylie Musto and Granddaughter, Ava Cavanaugh, Great Grandson, Dominic Musto and Great Granddaughter, Camdyn Musto, Cousin, Gloria Kutz, Nephews and Nieces, other family and friends will miss him very much. The Family wishes to thank the ICU Nurses and Staff of WB General Hospital, especially ICU Nurse Tracy for excellent and compassionate care.

A funeral service for Thomas will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 10:30am at the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S Main St, Plains, 18705. Friends and family are invited for a viewing/ wake service on Wednesday, February 22nd from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home and again Thursday morning from 10 am til time of service. Interment immediately following in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
