Tracie Long, 53, Plains PA, formerly of Columbia SC, was welcomed into heaven on Monday, August 26th, 2024. Born in South Carolina, the daughter of Deborah Jones, Tracie moved to Pennsylvania with her daughter Sherry to start a new chapter in their lives. This chapter ended up being the greatest love story in her life as she met her husband, Harold.
Harold and Tracie built a loving home and life together and were not only husband and wife but also best friends for 17 years. Their home and life were filled with love, laughter, children, and grandchildren.
Tracie has three grandchildren for whom she loved like crazy and took much pride in. Tracie enjoyed her time with Elena, Harmony, and Josiah and the conversations they shared, pictures they took, and the silly ways they would play. You could not mention their names without Tracie putting on the biggest smile.
Tracie took a lot of joy and pride in the home she made her and Harold. She had a keen eye for decorating her home with each room having a different color scheme and personalized touch. Everything had its place for sure.
Preceeding Tracie in death was her Grandparents, Joe and Gerry Allen; Mother, Deborah Jones; Stepdaughter, Corinna Long.
Surviving in addition to her husband and best friend, Harold Long, Plains, PA., is daughter Sherry Long and husband Edward, Pittston, PA., son, Joe Hornsby, West Virginia; son Bruce Long and wife Ashley, McAdoo; step daughters Alicia Long, Virginia Beach; Megan Long, Florida; Grandchildren, Elena, Harmony, and Josiah; Aunt, Jo Ann Hornsby and husband Guy, West Virginia; Kitty's Jack and Harley; Life long best friend, Lainie Feuerstein Ushelbec; and many other family and friends.
Tracie was the kindest person and always made you feel welcomed and loved. She was also known for her amazing sense of humor and to those closest to her she was downright silly. If Tracie could say one more thing to everyone, she would tell us to be kind and spread love.
Private viewing for friends and family will be held at Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S Main Street Plains; Thursday, August 29, from 4- 6 pm and Prayer Services will be held at Yeosock Funeral Home, Friday morning at  11am followed by interment in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
