Obituary

Vincent Albert "Vinny" Palagonia Jr., age 48, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania. Born on February 23, 1977, in Far Rockaway, New York, Vinny brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him.

Vinny was known for his generous spirit and his boundless heart. Those closest to him often described him as a "big teddy bear." He had an infectious laugh and a gift for making friends wherever he went. Whether he was lending a helping hand or simply showing up to listen, Vinny was someone you could always count on. A big kid at heart, he found happiness in the simple things and shared that happiness freely with others.

He loved fishing with his son, brother-in-law, and friends, tending to his sister's garden, playing his PlayStation, listening to music, and spending time with the people he cared about. These weren't just hobbies to Vinny — they were the ways he connected to life and to those he loved.

Family was the center of Vinny's world. He is survived by his father, Vincent Albert Palagonia Sr.; his mother, Debbie McHale; his sister, Amanda and her spouse Nelson; his brother, Joseph and his spouse Candace; his children, Anthony, Denise, Tiffany, Stephen, Jalani, and Jasmine; his stepchildren, Bryanna and DJ; and his grandchildren, Kayleigh, Joseph, Sophia, Jaxson, and Carter. He is also survived by his beloved fiancée, Sylvia.

Vinny leaves behind a large extended family who cherished him deeply, including nieces Cieanna, Cierra, Jiynn, Khloe, Dynasty, Rosalie, Rebekah, Aaliyah, and Kierra; nephews Joseph Jr., Justin, and YJ; as well as many aunts, uncles, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Michael and Susan Palagonia and Rita McHale; his stepfather Thomas "Sonny" Lovich; his niece Angel; his uncles Jimmy, Joey, Johnny, Michael M., Eddie, Arthur, Patty, Frankie, and Michael P.; his aunts Rita and Judy; and cousins.

To know Vinny was to love him. He touched so many lives — as a son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and fiancé — and as a loyal friend to all. His memory will live on in the stories that will be told and retold, and in the love he gave so freely.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains, PA 18705.
