Obituary

Walter Polk, recently of Kingston, PA, passed away peacefully on February 14th, 2023. Walt was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, to Walter and Regina Polk, on November 13, 1943, and grew up in Highland Park, NJ.

Walt earned a BA in Accounting at Seton Hall University, and served in the US Army for two years, before starting his career in accounting. He also earned a Master's degree in Taxation at Long Island University. For many years, Walt was a certified public accountant employed by the Internal Revenue Service in New York City.  He later moved to New Hope, PA, where he worked as an accountant in his own office.

Walter is predeceased by his parents, and his twin brother Joseph. Walter is survived by sisters Virginia Crooks and Andrea McGinnis, brother Robert Polk; former wife Jacqueline Kress, and their daughters, Christine Polk and her husband Thomas Limoncelli, and Jennifer Polk; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Walt loved to fish, and enjoyed organizing fishing trips with friends and family. Over the years, he raised tropical fish and birds, and he lavished attention on his pair of African Grey Parrots. Walt was a devoted fan of football, and his sweet tooth was legendary.

A Memorial Service for Walter will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S Main St, Plain, 18705.  Friends and relatives may offer condolences in the funeral home from 10 am until the time of the service on Friday.  Interment with Military Honors immediately following in the Chapel at Maple Hill Cemetery, 68 St Mary's Road, Hanover, 18706.
