Obituary

William "Bill" Golightly, 60, of Pittston, passed into eternal life on Friday, October 21, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at Guardian Rehabilitation Facility in Nanticoke.
Bill, or as many called him, "Pappy," had an infectious personality that made him loved by so many.  He was an avid New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  He also loved The Beatles and had his children convinced he was Paul McCartney.
Bill was the son of the late Earl Golightly and Jennie Reese.
Bill is survived by his three children; Kelly Golightly; Osceola; Billy Golightly, Pittston; Tim Golightly, Larksville; and Kaitlyn Stewart; Thornhurst; who was like a daughter to him.
In addition, he has five surviving brothers and sisters;  Erlene Metzger and her husband Woody, Effort; Rick Golightly and his wife Ceil, Kingston; Ken Golightly and his wife Diane, Shavertown; Margaret Jacolik and her husband Joe, Exeter; and Mike Kilheeney and his wife Kim, Dorrance.
Bill had twelve grandchildren that he loved very dearly, along with several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call from 4 to 6 pm on  Tuesday , October 25, 2022 , at Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 South Main Street, Plains.
